Depending on who you ask, you may get two different stories about how we first met. But we agree on one thing: God was at work behind the scenes to bring us together. Someone had to be! There are too many coincidences... Same Hometown. Same College. We even (unknowingly) moved into apartments directly across the street from each other after school. It took three chance meetings across three different States over 13 years (yes, 13 years!) ... but we finally got it right.

2009 thru 2011 was filled with lots of laughter, fun, football, Grey's Anatomy, travel, and <insert more cool stuff here!> We became best friends instantly. And as that friendship grew, we knew it was also ... love. Over the past 3 years, we've pushed each other to be our best, challenged each other on almost everything (sometimes... just for the heck of it) and learned to love through it all. But we credit that to the perks of marrying your best friend :)

So how did Eric pop the question? On a Cruise ... off the shore ... of the Cayman Islands! (YES!) On our way down to dinner w/ the Ship's Captain, Eric's nerves got the best of him and he pulled Nikki back to the room and straight onto the balcony for the best proposal a girl could ask for. The sun was setting. The Islands were in the background. It was perfect. Fittingly the name of the ship was "Destiny."

2012 is our year! First a new house. And now a wedding! We can't wait to start the rest of our lives together, and are so excited to share this moment w/ all our family and friends!
